This was a really sweet book, I find that in these pages there was a lot of this innocent, naïve, in many way wholesome relationship that was a friendship that grew into so much more. It was really sad that Ella just left one day, though I have to say that I understand why she left, and what she was going through, but at the same time, because of all the incidents that lead up to her leaving I thought she should’ve sent Micah a message to at the very least say that she was OK. Micah is one of those characters that is just insanely easy to fall in love with, he is so sweet, compassionate, thoughtful, and badass. In him, I find the right mix of the boy next door, and the rebel without a cause, and I think that is exactly part of the reason that Ella puts up her guards. It’s clear that the relationship between these two is both admirable (in the way they look out for each other) and intense (in the way once their lips touch they can’t stop).
"It was an earth-shattering kiss, one that stole breath, stooped hearts, and scared the shit out me because it surfaced feelings I’d never felt before, ones that rendered me helpless." Now outside of each other it is clear that both Ella and Micah have strained relationships with their families, and I think that especially for Ella these relationships are a major part of why she left.
I liked the pace of the book, the story development was well executed. I know that there is a sequel and I hope we get to see a little bit of growth in both of them. Since it’s called the Forever of Ella and Micah I’m figuring that they’re still together so here we go.
